An Atlanta-based retail pop-up shop designed for Express
Sometimes great design solutions come from reimagining forgotten spaces. The Express pop-up shop is a micro-design created for the purpose of presenting a new way of thinking about the retail brand. We claimed a forgotten space within an existing store – the clearance section at the far reaches of the interior – and transformed it into a boutique for the retailer’s formal line. Overflowing clothing racks and stark walls lit by fluorescent lighting were cleared to make way for a more inviting interior: a curated space to create a pause and welcome customers.
Additionally, this project was created at high speed: the total project, from initial design to completion of construction, took place in a month.
